Bio:

For Chino, known better as ASAP, the pursuit of the American Dream has always been a part of him. His home country of Nicaragua had broken out into a civil war, causing his entire family to flee for their lives.

Born in La Cieba, Honduras, Chino lived there for two years before migrating towards Mexico where, much like many illegal immigrants, his family crossed the river into America, eventually settling in Miami, Florida.

At the age of 7, the young ASAP and his mother moved away from the sunny South to Minnesota for two years, only to spend the next 10 years of his life moving around the country.

Through his adolescent years, Chino found himself in the shadows, beating the block and encountering near-death experiences. It was the only way he knew after bouncing around from school to school.

Despite the hurdles, his heart had always been in Miami, and he moved back with his sister to start his freshman year at Coral Park High School. This was where he first experienced freestyler rappers, something he had never seen before.

Soon enough, ASAP was motivated to become somebody in the circle, not just someone watching it. He later found the Lyricist Lounge online and began writing, opening up his lyrics to critics and peers.

After joining online "crews" and talking to artists he wrote compilations with, a few managers, financial backers and bad deals, Chino decided it was time to put his music on the back burner.

Atlanta, Georgia was his next stop, which is where he began to see hip hop in a new light. He would spend the next couple years learning to "ride" the beat and to turn his words into magic.

It took ASAP 5 years to master his art with big thanks to his big bro Keezy. Now he's back in Miami ready to get his piece and take the scene by storm.
