Bio
“Every once in a while you meet somebody with style and a flair that is all their own” The opening line of Bob Lavalley’s Another Angel, from his debut CD titled It Was You, sums up the thirty year journey of a boy from the fifties who always aspired to the music of his generation. “It all started with my dad’s record collection”, recalls Bob. “Glenn Miller, Bobby Darin, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Elvis, he had all the best songs from the forties through the early sixties. (Listen to The King and I) Fuse all of that with the influences of the teenage years: Beatles, Hendrix, Cream, Janis, and here he is entering the musical arena with a new take on what’s come before, for all ages. So put the top down, crank up the stereo and start cruisin’ with an album that you’ll listen to from beginning to end, as it should be. Bob is the new voice of his generation. This one’s a keeper. -

Influences
My influences come from the AM radio hits of the fifties and sixties. Being a product of the "Woodstock" generation allowed me to be immersed in the greatest music, in an era of artistic expression unparalleled since. I'm a little late on the scene, but now it's my turn. -
Sounds Like
Beatlesque with some Eagles and some early Billy Joel.
