Colt .45 blend raw punk rock with a healthy measure of country, rockabilly and roots rock’n’ roll. Their set consists of original compositions, various old timey country songs and a few punk rock covers, all arranged in the band’s unique way.

COLT .45 have been around for some 8 years now and played shows headlining or supporting bands like the U.S. Bombs, the Turbo A.C.s, the Swingin’ Utters, the Real McKenzies and scores of other bands nationally and internationally.
The band members are: Nick (lead guitar & vocals), Chris (drums), Frank the tank (bass & vocals), the Kuub (piano & accordion), as well as the new bee, Phil (rhythm guitar & good looks).
All band members also play in other bands, Nick and the Kuub in The Porters, an Irish folk / street-punk band on K.O. Records, Chris and Frank in the Pop Punk band The Brewers and Phil in the kickass Punk Rock outfit The Grindolls, whose latest releases are out on Mad Butcher Records.
Schon seit Ende vergangenen Jahres steht das Line Up des 3. High Noon Country Festivals am Kulturbahnhof B3 im nordrhein/westfälischen Borgholzhausen fest. Jetzt wurde jedoch eine Ergänzung des Programms bekanntgegeben. Das Bielefelder Rockabilly Trio "The Folsom Prisoners" wird Samstag gegen 14:00 Uhr einen halbstündigen Auftritt auf dem Festival geben und damit für ihren Auftritt auf der 4. Ausgabe des Festivals am 20. und 21. August 2011 werben. Die Folsom Prisoners setzen sich zusammen aus: Suspicious Sam, Vocals und Bass - Big "O" Fulton, Guitar und Vocals - Shotgun Ray, Drums und Vocals. Trotz der Gefahr, die von diesen drei "Schwerverbrechern" ausgehen könnte, hat die Festival Leitung darauf verzichtet, einen Stahlkäfig auf der Bühne aufzubauen und vertraut lieber auf eine Handvoll eingeflogener US Marshalls, die sich unter das Publikum mischen und dafür sorgen, dass nichts ausser heisser Musik die Bühne verlässt.
