Born Chicago , IL 1953 moved to Mpls , MN 1973 . Studied with Lenard Druss , Ed Berger , J Normand LeBlanc and Frank Smith . Attended Scottsdale College and Arizona State University . Co - founder of IMP ORK , Twin Cities improvising orchestra which has worked with guest artists Butch Morris , Don Cherry , Julius Hemphill , Roscoe Mitchell and Ernie Watts . Played with St Paul's R&B band the Checkers 80's and early 90's . Solo saxophonist at the Loring Cafe (R.I.P.) and currently at the Loring Pasta Bar since 1987 . -

Saturday Night during the Art Crawl, I will be playing a one-hour set of material at Black Dog in Lowertown/St. Paul. Black Dog serves beer, wine, coffee and food. The Black Dog is in the heart of Lowertown at 4th and Broadway in Downtown St. Paul, MN; located just across from the Farmers Market in the Historic Northern Warehouse. There’s lots of parking available in surface lots 1 block east off Kellogg or 1 block south off Prince St. This is a no cover all ages show.

This is an Electronic music showcase featuring (in this order): Planet 9, Primadonahue and Athletes in Slacks. I will be introducing new material and technology as well.
In keeping with our new artistic direction of “House, Trance and Techno” we have just posted a new mash-up track called “Another Daft Bites the Punk”. It features Queen and Daft Punk samples mixed with snippets from our recent live performance at the Uptown Bar featuring Jazz sax great John Devine. Check it out.
