IRIE ITES SOUND (Germany)

IRIE ITES MOVEMENT, based in germany started as a roots reggae radio show in 1995.The name was taken from a song of the Third World album “The Story..s Been Told” (1979). Since these days IRIE ITES RADIO SHOW is on air every Thursday, meanwhile also available on internet, being able to inform listeners worldwide about roots, dub, rub-a-dub, dancehall, and ska music .

As a consequence of playing sweet reggaemusic IRIE ITES SOUND was found in 1999, performing all through Germany, Switzerland, and Austria with many great artists and sounds for more than 10 years now. “Irie Ites- you know you are the reggae ambassador”, as Bunny Rugs, frontman of Third World chants. In 2006 the sound got the 1st German Reggae Grammy Award in the category of soundsystem. 4 selectors (Toppa, Asha, ColtJah, Geasy) and two Mc..s (Babamessage & Fungi) come with roots and culture and make every massive dance.
