Influences
Great songs ... (Whatever the musical genre) ... Songs with substance ... Songs that strike at your very core and give you goosebumps or seriously positive feelings every time you hear them ... Songs that offer up something that makes you think about a situation or an event from some other perspective ... Songs that give you the feeling that it's good to be alive ... Songs that make or help you empathise with anothers situation ... Songs that make me think "I wish I'd thought of that ... or ... "I wish I wrote that" ... Songs that ask of folk "what the F**k are you doing with this precious life of yours, and why are you spending so much time leading such an unhappy unfulfilled existance" ... Songs that make people think of all the crap that's going on in the world at the moment and how we CAN change things for the better if only we get up off of our apathetic rear-ends and actually do something about it ...
Sounds Like
There's been many a favourable comparison made in the past ... But hey ... I guess you can make your own mind up on this one ... Have a listen!

Larry Guild is going to be a guest on Ciaran's Celtic Music Radio Show tonight between 5 and 7. It'll be a chance to hear what the man's been up to since we last saw him, and you can email the show to say hi.
Either tune in to 1530AM or go to http://www.celticmusicradio.net and click on the "Listen Live" button on the top right of the page.
Hi Johnny, yeah I spent years trying to avoid the myspace thing - guess the hype and stuff annoyed me + I knew I'd waste lots of time on it like I do facebook! However I'll admit it is very handy...I've already got 3 gigs out it
You still spending most of your time playing up North? Hope things are going well.
Hi Johnny, I'm fine mate and thanks for dropping by! I would be interested in one of your 'proper' CD's, let me know how to go about making an old fashioned purchase?
Johhny, how you doin'? Good news on the cd front then. Next time i'm up in Glasgow i'll try and blag a copy off you or swap you for one of mine lol. Only kidding. good music is worth paying for eh! Off to Madrid next week, will speak to you on my return. All the best mate.
Good to hear from you. Am doing OK - trying to get some recording done at home - am getting there slowly but surely. Glad to hear you've done another CD. Enjoying listening to "You Gotta Believe in something". Catchy, positive upbeat song, ideal to combat these days of doom and gloom. Will try and get on to iTunes at the weekend and download some tracks. Did a wee slot on www. celticmusicradio. net via Celtic Connections recently - maybe you have been there too. Nice people that are up for helping us folks promote our music - and not just folkies. Get in with them touch - another avenue - you could maybe get a live session/plug your CD.
hi johnny. worth waiting for. at least your on number 2. i'm still trying to get the demos together. down in wales with procs be back next week. try to catch you in the spring. good luck and see you soon. cheers zac
Mr. Hill, So good to hear from you too. Thanks for the add. I see you've found Mr Coelho. next time me and TJ are up in Glasgow we should meet up for a sweet sherry or two.Best wishes Johnny. Talk soon:)
Hi Johnny, it was great meeting you my friend! Barabara and I had a hoot and we never even watched any of the bands! I was thinking maybe next year we should just meet you in the pub and we will give you our ticket money? LOL Hope to see you or hear you again soon.
It was good to meet you again on the Underground. I've revisited Written In Stone, and I'll be picking a track to play this Sunday on Celtic Music Radio
Hey, just wishing you a great Tuesday night. Things are cool over on this end, just enjoying the night and writing some tunes. much love ~adrian adrianrhen. com
