Kim Rushing is a jazz singer with a deep understanding of and experience with the art form. Upon her graduation from the Berklee School of Music, she moved to New York City where she was discovered and hired by the legendary jazz singer Jon Hendricks. She toured the U.S., Europe and Brazil with Jon’s vocal group, Hendricks and Company.

She has performed with her own group and as an invited guest vocalist all over the U.S., Canada and Japan. She currently resides in Seattle, WA with her husband and drummer, Robert Rushing and their daughter.
Kim grew up in a house full of the sounds of jazz -- playing piano with her uncle, a trumpeter and influenced by her grandmother’s stride style piano playing. Growing up in Pennsylvania, Kim was active in many arts, playing piano and clarinet, singing in choruses, choirs, studying dance, drawing and painting. She was also featured in theatre productions as a lead character actress.
Kim Rushing graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston and is
currently a resident of Seattle. Toured internationally with three time grammy award winner and legendary vocalist Jon Hendricks, including performances in New York City at the Village Vanguard and the Blue Note; The Vine St Bar and Grill in Los Angeles, Fairmount Hotels in New Orleans, Denver and San Francisco; Maksoud Plaza Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil; and many concerts and jazz festivals in Europe and Canada. Has performed with her our quartet all over the U.S., Europe, Canada and Japan; including regular gigs at the Ritz Carlton Hotels in Atlanta and Hawaii; the Hilton Gold Coast in Hawaii. Kim has also performed in Boston, New York, California, Hawaii and Atlanta.
She grew up in Pennsylvania, where she studied classical piano, clarinet, dance and art and was active in band, theatre, chorus and choir.
