A BRIEF HISTORY
WSK first came together after performing within Buffalo Bill's Blues Revue from December 2006. The idea for WSK was conceived at the St.Ives Arts Festival in September 2007 and our first performance was at a private function at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Association.
We quickly discovered our compatibility as song-writers, recording a demo of 5 original songs in November 2007. Spring 2008 found us in the studio (Scream Studios, Croydon) recording "Serenade" - our debut album.
We launched the album at our first public performance - headlining the Acoustic Stage on the Saturday night of the Out Of The Ordinary Festival in September 2008.
We are currently working on new songs for our second album and will be serenading various venues in London & beyond throughout 2009.
THE WSK SOUND
We have a melodic and lyrical approach to song-writing and a contemporary electro/acoustic sound. Our songs are variously described (and not just by us) as quirky, lyrically evocative, emotionally charged, veering from delightful whimsy to brooding intensity.
